Business Continuity & Disaster Recovery

Overview

Data CentreThe business need for a versatile and scalable disaster recovery solution is of paramount importance as threats, natural and manmade, multiply with each passing month.

The increasing threat from cyber crime and cyber terrorism is reported on a daily basis, with many organizations now becoming victims at an alarming rate.

Furthermore natural disasters such as fire and floods are also on the increase.
How would your organization survive in such circumstances?

At Esix we understand that the issues relating to IT Security and Business Continuity are inextricably linked. You cannot have one without the other. Esix provides both a consultancy service, and our own Business Continuity and Disaster Recovery Service, to help your organisation ensure you have a comprehensive and coherent Business Continuity and Disaster Recovery Plan in place.

Our Consultants

Because we operate as independent consultants, we bring with us a wealth of experience from a wide range of organisations and industries ranging from Central Government institutions and large multinational companies, to smaller organisations such as charities and travel companies.

This ensures that your organisation benefits from that experience when developing contingency planning, for both a broad range of operational requirements, and budgets.

All our consultants have attained and qualified as Chartered Members of the British Computer Society, which sets the “Gold Standard” of IT professionalism.

Our Hosting and Disaster Recovery Service

ServersTraditionally, the costs involved in providing a fully functioning hot standby facility have in the past proved prohibitive.

In many cases, disaster recovery facilities may have run into millions of pounds of expenditure per year, and were therefore the domain of only the banks and large multi national corporations.

With the advent of virtualization technology and decreasing data centre costs, this is no longer the case.

Now that we are becoming increasingly reliant on our communications infrastructure, all orgainisations large and small, must review their continuity arrangements and put contingency planning high on the agenda.

Working closely with our partners in the UK, Esix can provide a complete Business Continuity and Disaster Recovery solution tailored for your organization.

Our hosting facilities were specifically built to FSA standards and are situated in a secure location, 68 miles outside London close to the M1 motorway.

The Data Centre has a total accommodation of 60,696 sqft (5,638.81 sqm) including at least 14,027 sqft (1,303.10 sqm) of technical accommodation.
We have multi homed gigabit fiber links to a number of tier 1 providers at the data centre, ensuring adequate bandwidth, stability and diverse routing.

Hosting your servers is only part of the solution. We can also provide desk space and telephone facilities to house a number of key staff, to aid in the recovery process.

This allows us to produce an effective disaster recovery solution, tailored to the individual needs of your organization, and that will be sustainable to your budget.
